If you're in the market for a new Enduro bike, Marin's Alpine Trail has to be a strong contender! These bikes all have top quality 160/150 mm suspension, 29" wheels and bang up to date geometry.
Every bike in the range has a very carefully thought out spec. This model might be the "base" model, but it still has Shimano 4 pot brakes, a dropper post and a Deore 12 speed drivetrain. This year's Deore drive train is so good, it's hard to justify the extra money on XT or XTR! Seat posts sizes vary depending on bike size too, something a few manufacturers have finally realised is a sensible idea.
Thoughtful speccing applies to the fork too. If you decide you need a bit more from the fork, you can upgrade the internals, and you've and made the fork into a Lyrik. All in, this is a hell of lot of bike for just over two and a half grand.
