The Scout is a poppy, fun bike that will remind you why you got into mountain biking! Pair this frame with a burly fork, and you'll have one of the most entertaining and capable bikes out there.
Out of the box, the bike is set up with a 140 mm shock, but you can change the rear shock for a longer one to run the back end at 150 mm. The frame will be happy with a fork between 140 and 160 mm.
Transition have given the longer-lower-slacker approach a name - "Speed Balanced Geometry" - but effectively it means a longer top tube and slack head angle, ready to run a short stem and short offset fork, pretty much what you would expect from any modern enduro-orientated bike. On that note, all models can take a water bottle, though you'll need to use a fid lock bottle on the size XS frame.
Never ones to shy away from a cheesy name, the Scouts "GiddyUp" suspension has fantastic small bump sensitivity and enough progression to run a coil shock without blowing through the travel. The Enduro MAX bearings and additional bearing shields are a huge plus point for UK riding!
The Carbon NX model has a solid spec, with a OneUp dropper sized depending on frame size, Flow rims, Super Deluxe shock and a 150 mm Lyrik Select+.
