Weekender Archer is the longest running model in the Fairdale line up. It's the perfect example of what the brand is all about - bikes that are just bikes, with no pretence of being wind tunnel designed or ready to race World Cups.
Built around the tried and tested Weekender frame, this model is a solid dependable build ready for all day rides, commutes or just nipping along to the shops. Like all Fairdales, they're very pleasing things to look at, and we can see this being a bike you'll hold onto forever. It's all about the simple pleasure just pootling along on a bike can bring.
- FSA Vero 1x Crankset with narrow-wide chainring.
- 100% Chromoly frame and fork.
- Odyssey Twisted PC pedals.
- 27.5 wheels (M, L and XL are compatible with 700c wheels).
- Choice of two drivetrains, well know SRAM X5 or wider range Microshift - better if there's an uphill on the way home.
There's nothing much enduro about Fairdale, they mostly make chilled out bikes for cruising around on. We're making a special provision for these bikes though, there's too much of our BMX heritage in every one, and maybe you need a pub bike or a training bike?!
Part of the OTX family of brands, which includes Sunday, Odyssey and G-Sport, Fairdale is headed up by Taj Mihelich. If you ever rode BMX, you probably know who he is, if you didn't, he was one of the best riders around in the Etnies "Forward" era - jeans might have got tighter, but his riding is still rad!
Aside from Fairdale, Taj pops up on Pinkbike as an illustrator, and you can see his work in the Fairdale graphics. Somehow Fairdale bikes reflect Taj's personality and that's why we're fans!
