Completely revised for 2026, the new Fox 36 aims to be the best option for “all mountain” riding. The new chassis is 20% stiffer than the previous 36, getting close to the precision offered by the 38.

Fox have developed a new air spring designed to maintain smooth travel even when heavy riders are breaking hard. The “FLOAT Glidecore Ultra-Low-Friction Compliant Air Spring” keeps the air spring separate from the stanchion, so avoids any friction caused by twisting or flexing of the fork leg under cornering or braking forces.

The new 36 has a new, stiffer arch with cutaways, updating the aesthetics and shaving a bit of weight.

More bushing overlap, relocated bypass channels and a heap of smaller improvements make this the fork to beat if you're looking for a fork for a 140-160mm travel bike.

The new Factory 36's are available with two dampers. This GRIP X2 damper equipped fork is aimed at riders looking for a descent focussed fork. The GRIP X2 damper has adjustable high and low speed compression and rebound damping, and it's designed to stay high n the travel. If sticking to the ground while cornering and reducing arm fatigue on long descents is what you're looking for, this is the fork for you.

FLOAT Glidecore Ultra-Low-Friction Compliant Air Spring

The new design separates the spring from the stanchions, so the spring still moves freely when the fork flexes.
Using elastomers to isolate the spring allows the spring to be more reactive and supple.

GRIP X2 Damper

More descent focussed than the GRIP X Damper.
Four way adjustable damping

Inboard Bypass Channels

Relocated from the back of the fork to the inside of the fork to help with stiffness.
These channels balance the pressure in the fork, helping with small bump sensitivity.
