The all new LT replaces both SB165 and SB160 in the Yeti line up, thanks to mixed wheel compatibility. Flip chips at the top of the seat stay allow wheel size changes with no compromise on geometry. An additional geo adjustment chip allows for a half degree slacker head angle and lower BB height.
More tuning is available with optional +10mm drop-outs. Lengthen the rear chain stays with these for more stability and speed, and a more planted feel climbing.
Only Yeti's top-of-the-range Turq carbon layup is available, with Vectran yarn added do the layout in high impact areas.
Seems like a big jump to abandon the platform you've hung your hat on for years, but the Sixfinity linkage has been 10 years in development. First seen on the Yeti 160E ebikes, and now in its second iteration with the LTe, the linkage has won loads of praise and in the new LT, Yeti have refined the linkage to change kinematics depending on frame size.
Sixfinity allows Yeti more control of suspension characteristics and the improved structure improves durability by spreading loads evenly and allowing bearing selection based on use requirements rather than space constraints.
The self-aligning rocker link has been precision engineered and uses floating collet axles to remove as much friction and improve bearing life. Standard cartridge bearings are used throughout.
Three position chip changes shock leverage rates.
Flip chips in the seat stays allow for full 29" or mixed wheel sizes without affecting geometry
Stealth storage for a Tile or Airtag hidden below the downtube protector.
"The Cavity"; built in frame storage with solid door closure using a CNC machined mechanism.
Two complete bikes and a frame only option are available. The complete bikes are very similar, basically one has electronic shifting, the other doesn't. A surprising amount of the more bouji specs from the full on X0 bike are on the X0/90 bike, obvious stuff like the fork and shock, but maybe a bit weirdly, also the rest of the non-electronic drivetrain components. Both bikes run X0 T-Type cassettes, an expensive component that's an easy place to cut a couple of hundred quid off the price. Worth having though, you'll get cleaner shifts, and it should last well if you look after it.
