After ten years of Eagle drivetrains, SRAM have simplified the whole range, replacing the current 9 different group sets with 3. Thankfully they've managed to perform this miracle without inventing another new standard.😂
If you're new to this, "AXS" is SRAM's electronic shifting and "Eagle" means 12 speed. "DUB" refers to SRAM's bottom bracket size of 29mm, which dictates the axle size of cranks.
Eagle S500 AXS is compatible with previous AXS Eagle drivetrains. It can also be used with gravel bikes using drop bar shifters. S500 is not compatible with SRAM AXS Transmission groupsets (also called "T-Type") which use flat-top chains.
Eagle S200 is mechanical and replaces GX and up Eagle 12-speed drivetrains.
Eagle S100 is also mechanical and replaces entry-level SX and NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrains.
The "Eagle S-Series Drivetrain" ranges run alongside the "Eagle Transmission" electronic shifting ranges which use flat-top type chains.
